Writing, talks and automation on lighting design and product data.
Emre Güneş. Industrial engineer, editor, PIM consultant.
A lighting magazine, a lighting company, and now automating the data behind the products.
I'm an industrial engineer, and I live in İstanbul.
For twelve years, I edited PLD Türkiye, a lighting design magazine. I organised events, and I wrote and spoke about light. In 2014, I co-founded Ağustos Teknoloji to bring lighting brands to Turkey.
Today, I help lighting manufacturers run their product data from a PIM (Product Information Management): a single source of truth. So their website and datasheets stay up to date. It's the engineer in me: when people do the same thing by hand again and again, I want to automate it.
It's all on this site: the magazine, the talks, the writing, even the books on my shelves.
